GCC jobs abroad are usually employer-led
Gulf work pathways are usually connected to an employer, sponsor, contract, work permit, residence process, or labour platform. The exact process differs by country and sector.
A social media post or agency promise is not enough. Verify the employer, contract, salary terms, accommodation, deductions, and official government process before paying fees or travelling.
Verify offers and contracts before paying
Offer verification is central for GCC pathways. Keep copies of job ads, contracts, receipts, passport handover records, salary terms, housing terms, and all messages from recruiters or agencies.
Sri Lankan applicants should review SLBFE registration and licensed agency information where overseas employment is involved.
- Check whether a Sri Lankan agency is licensed where relevant.
- Check whether salary, housing, working hours, and deductions are written clearly.
- Use official government sources for labour and work permit information.
What to prepare before applying
Prepare a clean CV / Resume, passport, contract file, qualification or trade evidence, medical or police documents only where officially required, and a written payment/document timeline.
WorkAbroadX can help with CV / Resume readiness, salary comparison, and interview practice. It does not verify employers or place applicants in jobs.
