What this pathway is
UAE work routes for overseas workers are usually employer-led. A wider pathway may include a job offer, work permit, employment contract, residence process, medical checks, Emirates ID steps, and employer-side government handling.
Do not travel or pay large informal fees based only on a social media post, WhatsApp message, or verbal promise. Verify the employer, contract, agency, and official process first.
Offer and scam checks
Sri Lankan applicants should treat offer verification as the core task. Check whether the employer is real, whether the contract details match the role, whether any agency is licensed, and whether official UAE channels support the process being described.
A UAE work visa or permit should not be sold as a guaranteed outcome. Visa1st and WorkAbroadX do not verify employers, place workers, or guarantee jobs.
- Keep copies of the offer, contract, salary terms, accommodation terms, receipts, passport handover records, and recruiter messages.
- Check SLBFE licensed agency information if a Sri Lankan agency is involved.
- Use UAE Government and MoHRE pages for work permit and contract information.
- Be cautious with urgent payment demands, withheld passports, unclear job titles, or promises that sound too easy.
Sri Lanka-specific preparation
For Sri Lankan workers, SLBFE registration and agency checks may be relevant before departure for overseas employment. Review official SLBFE guidance early instead of leaving it until the final week.
Prepare a clear CV, passport, civil documents, qualification or trade evidence, medical or clearance documents only where officially required, and a written record of every payment or contract step.
Before you accept an offer
Rules, UAE labour platforms, employer responsibilities, and local procedures can change. This page is general information, not legal advice, and it should be checked against official UAE and Sri Lankan sources.
WorkAbroadX can help with CV readiness and interview practice. It does not confirm whether a UAE employer is legitimate and does not guarantee job placement or visa approval.
