Qatar work routes are usually employer-led and may involve a sponsor, employment contract, residence or work authorization process, medical or identity steps, and employer-side government handling.
Do not travel, resign, or pay large informal fees based only on a verbal promise, social media advertisement, or unclear agency claim. Verify the employer, sponsor, contract, and official process first.
Offer and scam checks
Sri Lankan applicants should check whether the employer is real, whether the contract matches the role and salary terms, whether accommodation and deductions are clear, and whether any Sri Lankan agency is licensed.
Visa1st and WorkAbroadX do not verify Qatar employers, place workers, or guarantee jobs. Treat any guaranteed visa or guaranteed overseas job promise as a warning sign.
- Keep copies of offers, contracts, receipts, passport handover records, salary terms, and recruiter messages.

- Use Hukoomi and Qatar Ministry of Labour pages for official work and document information.
- Be cautious with urgent payment demands, withheld documents, unclear job titles, or pressure to travel quickly.

Sri Lankan workers should understand the role, employer, sponsor, salary, accommodation, medical or clearance expectations, and local departure requirements before accepting a Qatar offer.
Prepare a clean CV, passport, contract file, qualification or trade evidence, and a written timeline of every payment or document step. Do not use fake documents or accept contract terms you do not understand.
